Description

This is another picture from my trip ...just some solar turbines in the palm springs desert...driving by them is a really weird experience. Hundreds of solar turbines as tall as buildings...it feels like you are in a scene from an h.g. wells movie!

I agree that the foreground adds to the image...isn't it creepy? :)

Very good image. At first I wasn't sure the foreground should remain but I think it provides a good contrasting element. Well done!

I agree with Gary - foreground needs to be there. Has a kind of fantasy-feel. Nice work (thumbup)

Nice job! This is a familiar sight to my location. I live near a windfarm...50 miles or so south from Tehachapi! These are used to power that entire city. Your image is fantastic! Nice work with the sunset and what was mentioned above. Your foreground makes this as well! +10

Beautiful color, and I can't believe how many wind power thingies there are! Usually they're just scattered across a hillside but this is nutz. Great job!

Wicked! Its like an army of martians! and that red sky just sets them off brilliantly! BOWS! ;)

Edit I have just read your bit underneath it and you have already made reference to H.G.Wells so I have repeated myself somewhat!

EDIT EDIT* Just read again and it was Orson Welles you wrote, not H.G. Wells. I must pay attention.

Wonderful shot. However, the image presented here is too compressed, so it gives stranges halos to the turbines, especially the one on the left. : I guess the original image is ok ?
